Announcing tinyd6.games, a new suite of tools for playing TinyD6!

2025 marks ten years of Gallant Knight Games making roleplaying games, and today, we’re beginning a series of announcements over 2025 that will be celebratory, indicative of the future of GKG (as much as is reasonable for a small business), and our next slate of awesome projects (TinyD6 and more).

In many ways, GKG is the house that TinyD6 built and we’ve been quietly working behind the scenes for the next evolution of TinyD6! There’s more to come, as this is just a first step, but we thought we’d get it rolling with this announcement! After all, the next steps for GKG aren’t, they’re Tiny!

tinyd6.games!

Gallant Knight Games is proud to announce a whole new suite of tools designed to enable TinyD6 gameplay, both at the table and online! This suite of tools, called “tinyd6.games”, is a collection of web-based apps designed to be used from smartphones, tablets, desktops and other online enabled devices with web browers.

Tinyd6.games will launch with Tiny Dungeons 2e and Tiny Frontiers-enabled content, and other award-winning TinyD6 games like Tiny Supers, Tiny Wastelands, Tiny Spies, and Tiny Cthulhu (plus more!) will join them in the future.

How It Works

Users will create a tinyd6.games account, which will enable them to make a single character to join any campaign! The same structure underlies each game site, so your one account can join any single campaign (for free)! We’ve separated the app and applied different “skins” using subdomains (hence frontiers.tinyd6.games or dungeon.tinyd6.games). While they look different, they are the same app, so the same logins, data, and tools power and are accessible through either (or any) of the pages.

  • Individuals wanting to run a game can subscribe for $6 a year (a single campaign with up to 6 players), and purchase the ruleset they want as a one-time purchase. That’s it! As a GM, you can leverage content from any rulesets you purchase, mixing and matching TinyD6 content to your heart’s content.

  • If you want to play in a lot of campaigns, the Veteran Adventurer pledge let’s you create up to ten characters (across all tinyd6.games products) for $10 a year!

  • If you want more or want to run a lot of campaigns, the GM+ level is only $10 a year and lets you run up to 10 campaigns, with ten players (with any rulesets you purchase)! GM+ subscribers can create or add their own custom content and expansions to their own campaigns!

  • Individuals who support the Gallant Knight Games Patreon automatically are granted the GM+ and Veteran Adventurer subscriptions for any month they support the Patreon, as well as a 75% reduction in the price of any rulesets they purchase (in addition to our normal ongoing patreon rewards)!

Subscriptions & Cost

Technology and moving a small game company forward onto new platforms takes effort, money, and time. However, Gallant Knight Games has always strived to find the balance between making our games and products fiscally accessible while also paying ethical rates and doing our best to make sure those who work with us can make a living.

We’ve worked hard to find pricing that is sustainable for us and the technology, while still allowing us to make a living and pay for the work being done by the team supporting this product. Our pricing reflects that.

The yearly GM level averages out to $0.50 a month (paid up front) which is a bargain for a digital toolkit (in our opinion). Coupled with the single purchase nature of the ruleset, you can gain full access to everything needed to run a campaign of Tiny Dungeon for $15.00 USD for the first year, and only have to worry about the $6 yearly sub after that.

And as errata, updates, and tweaks are made, you’ll automatically be updated to the latest rules of that edition!

We really do think that’s a great deal.

If you want to switch tinyd6.games rulesets, you don’t need to resub, instead just buying the single purchase of any ruleset you want to use and you can put it to us!

Of course, some of these prices will change and adjust over time!

FAQ

Is GKG going to stop working with VTTs? Not at all! GKG has partnered with Diceweaver as our official VTT partner, and we’ve authorized fan-made content on any other VTT that’s asked or reached out (usually just ensuring our copyright is met)! We’re still committed to VTTs, and this tool isn’t designed to replace them, but to present a house tool that GKG can use and offer to those who might want it (it also integrates nicely with most VTTs, Discord, and more)! TinyD6 often struggles to find a home on VTTs, as the wealth of VTT features is often too much for the minimalist rules and presentation of TinyD6 (and it leads to overengineering)! Tinyd6.games is the perfect solution and adds nicely as a resource for those of you who use VTTs! It doesn’t contain maps, images, voice, or other tools like that, instead being a rules and resource management option!

Will tinyd6.games apps access be included with physical purchase? At this time (and going forward), if you buy a digital or physical book from the GKG webstore, we will ask you for the tinyd6.games email on your account and apply that same ruleset to your tinyd6.games account (free of charge)! This is currently a manual process, but we’ve got automation on our roadmap for this.

Outside of that, we’re exploring how we can help individuals who buy our physical books through other methods get discounted or complimentary access (be it via a discount URL or code, redemption code, or other method) to the tinyd6.games suite. In the end, we want everyone to have access and we want to make sure the platform is supporting itself! We’ll have more details as we firm up those plans.

What if a new edition comes out? GKG delineates (sometimes poorly – we aren’t always perfect at communicating it) between updated printings, revisions, and editions. Anytime a printing (minor typos, errata, clarifications) or revision (larger reworks or fixes) are made, those changes will be reflected in tinyd6.games for previous purchasers (and future purchasers)! New editions will require a new ruleset purchase on tinyd6.games (which you would acquire in the usual way).

What about licensed or third party tinyd6 content? At the moment, GKG is focused on our TinyD6 products, but when the time comes, we’ll explore what options there are with our licensees!

Other features will be determined as we scale up.
